The Alexander Technique is a neuromuscular re-educational tool for everyday living.

Under gentle "hands-on" guidance, you will explore the principles of the technique with such simple activities as sitting, standing and walking, to more complex ones, such as working at a computer, sports, playing a musical instrument, dancing, acting, singing etc.

This is brought about by working with the relationship of the neck, head and back.

As larger surface muscles release, the smaller, deeper postural muscles are allowed to take over and strengthen.

Through this, the spine decompresses and joint mobility throughout the entire body opens up, improving coordination, flexibility and facilitating the release of any present pain, as well as bringing more postural dynamics.

Thinking becomes clearer, movement more fluid, and life more colourful.

People who study the technique come from all walks of life.

Some are in physical discomfort with issues such as back, neck and wrist problems. Some are looking for a way to improve and enhance their skills, such as athletes, actors, dancers, musicians and vocalists; and some come to improve their posture, their self-awareness and overall coordination.

Each session lasts an hour, during which time you will learn how to recognize and prevent damaging habitual patterns of movement and thought and return to the grace and ease you once had.
